Employment to the Homeless in our Community with Mission Possible
Forget the impossible. Long Life is participating in Mission Possible, and we hope you can join us in our efforts!
Of course, we need to service our customers well and focus on providing quality windows, but another essential part of Long Life is our desire to invest in our community. One of the ways we do so is by supporting Mission Possible, which provides training and employment for those who would otherwise be homeless.
Each year we donate a portion — anywhere from $10 to $150 — of every project we do to their efforts. Although some of these amounts from Long Life may seem small, they add up quickly and go directly to help those in need. By hiring us, you are also helping others within the community.
This year, we are also supporting Mission Possible’s Cleanest Day of the Year on June 11, and we are asking our clients to take part. The goal is to raise $150,000 to help homeless people go through their Employment Readiness Program, which gives them all they need to successfully get employment, including 1:1 coaching and 6+ months of work opportunities.
Similar to how Long Life gives slowly but steadily throughout the year, you can too. No matter how large or small, every donation has a positive impact. It costs $5,000 to put one person through the readiness program, so you can help reach the goal of $150,000 to support 30 homeless people in one day.
We hope you’ll catch the vision, help folks in your community, and accept your own Mission Possible! For more information on the Cleanest Day of the Year, just click here.
