Mission Possible Uplifting Community: Long Life Windows & Doors
Helping Mission Possible Create Lasting Change in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside
Mission Possible is a charity that provides opportunities for people experiencing homelessness or poverty. They do amazing work providing employment for those that need a helping hand. Each year Long Life makes a donation on behalf of our customer’s ranging from $10-$150 per project. While the individual amounts may seem minor, the total is significant, and helps this charity continue their valuable work. This organization absorbs administration costs, 100% of funds donated go directly to those in need.
This past year, Long Life’s Owner Kris Alexander is the Board Chair and was able to speak at the Annual Gala. The event raised over $250,000. It was also a chance to help recognize all of the generous donors along with the individuals (like Shawna) that have worked hard through the program to get back into the work force. The team at Mission Possible highlighted Long Life’s involvement on their blog and we wanted to share that story with you here are well.

As a family-owned and operated business with products manufactured right here in British Columbia, Long Life Windows & Doors champions their surrounding communities. It comes as no surprise that since they opened in 1989, they have found a way to combine their appreciation for their customers and their support of the organizations around them. Long Life Windows & Doors donates a portion of their profits on behalf of their clients every year. Serving as a thank you and a way to give back, Long Life supports the community that has helped make them the company that they are.
Giving back is one of Long Life’s core values, and they have supported Mission Possible for the past eight years. We were so thankful to have them as a Gold Partner at the 2021 Mission Possible Gala! In addition, their General Manager and Co-Owner, Kris Alexander, has served on Mission Possible’s Board for six years, and is the current Board Chair. Over the years, Long Life has valued sharing Mission Possible’s story with their customers and explaining the amazing work that MP does. They regularly receive great feedback about MP’s programs, and they know that the work they are investing in is making a real difference.
We are so appreciative of the long-standing and incredible support that Long Life has given to Mission Possible over the years! Working together is the best way forward, and having great partners makes it easy!
